As a Purchasing Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in the Purchasing department being a key team player responsible for ordering raw materials.

**The role**:
Working alongside the Purchasing Manager, you will be involved in ordering raw materials for the Company, as and when required. You will also be responsible for weekly reporting and running weekly stock sheets.

**Responsibilities**:

- Running weekly stock sheets
- Completing the daily MRP
- Placing orders with suppliers as required
- Chasing up confirmed delivery dates
- Build and maintain a successful relationship with Customers, Suppliers and Colleagues
- Meeting daily targets
- Compiling weekly reports and providing regular updates to your line Manager
- Attend weekly Purchasing Meetings, giving regular updates
- Maintaining the stock database
- Investigate stock discrepancies
- Supporting other team members as demand requires
- Continuously looking for ways to improve current procedures

It would be advantageous to have the following skills/experience:

- Previous experience in purchasing
- Worked in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Worked with stock control systems and/or MRP
- IT literate

This role is office based in Dinnington, the working hours are 7am - 4pm Monday to Friday.

Pay: Up to £26,000.00 per year
