We are looking for a Paper Supplier Quality Assurance Manager to join our Central Quality team within our Currency division.

The role of Paper Supplier Quality Assurance Manager will be to implement the supplier quality policy and proactively develop paper suppliers in order to maximise factory efficiency and minimise the quality impact on our manufacturing sites and our customers.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Drive value into the paper supply base by reducing failure rates & improving supplier capability, using financial measures to gauge improvement in supplier performance
- Contribute to factory on time in full (OTIF) by assuring raw material supply is fit for purpose, reliably supplied and meets customer’s requirements.
- Implement supplier’s quality metrics to measure performance, provide focus and drive improvement with our paper suppliers
- Ensure a robust certificate of conformance process is in place to review prior to shipping
- Conduct supplier audit and maturity assessments using these reviews to development our paper suppliers
- When a supplier driven change is required, implement a robust change control process to identify and mitigate risks, obtaining formal approval from key stakeholders
- Lead the development of quality standards and criteria for all products
- Manage 'high risk’ jobs to enable site quality managers to develop the competency of the site-based quality teams into providing the relevant control and detection mechanisms to enable a robust quality assurance to be in place

**Contract type**: Permanent

**Working hours**: Full Time - 36.5 hrs per week (9am - 5:15pm Mon, 9am - 5pm Tues - Fri)

**Base location**: Basingstoke

**Skills, Qualifications & Experience**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a technical capacity
- Knowledge of paper manufacturing process
- Proven track record of driving continuous improvement resulting in tangible benefits
- Ability to grasp technical concepts or issues quickly to then enable good problem-solving skills
- Proven track record in engaging, influencing and collaborating with key stakeholders to drive positive change
- Broad business knowledge of banknotes industry and experience would be advantageous
- Ability to gain buy-in from all functions and drive the site towards achieving its quality goals
- Ability to travel at very short notice to participate in problem solving at either our paper suppliers or our manufacturing sites is essential
