Finance Business Partner

**About The Role**:
Motability Operations are currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner to join our team in Bristol on a 15-month FTC to cover a period of maternity leave. Reporting into the Finance Business Partnering Manager, you will own the reporting, insight, analysis, performance, control, budgeting and forecasting processes of your division(s), by building strong and engaging relationships with the business.
- Act as the key point of contact for cost centre managers, HOF’s and Directors to provide in depth analysis, interpretation and advice around their BAU cost base, initiatives and projects and add value through detailed reporting and Finance expertise
- You will support, advise and influence business decisions which have a financial impact within your area of ownership, ensuring Finance play a key part in these decisions
- Own the P&L for your business area ensuring reporting, and historical trends are reported, understood and used in investment discussions and decision
- Pro-actively get involved in business engagements that will provide you with more insight and knowledge to broaden your understanding of the overall business delivery and not just the financials. This should ensure there is context around your numbers to provide better analysis
- Attend committees, owners groups or any other business meetings as required to represent Finance and provide updates of performance ensuring business areas are well informed from a finance perspective

The Finance Business Partnering team own the overheads and strategic projects annual operating plan and reforecasting processes for the business in addition to supporting the business in strategic planning.

The team are responsible for the overhead cost base ensuring accurate and timely reporting on a monthly basis and provide insight to the transformation committee on future strategic spend, as well as monthly control processes.

The team have interactions across Bristol and London, so some travel will be required across sites. Please note this role is Bristol based and we operate a hybrid working arrangement

As a Business Partner you will not only look at current and historical performance, you should also have a good understanding of the longer term financial outcomes within your areas. These views should be captured and shared to promote more insight into potential cost base increases especially around project completions.

**About You**:

- You will be a self-starter and can prioritise tasks effectively. Able to independently manage workload and role development
- You are comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels within the business
- You can remain calm under pressure
- You can effectively explain accounting principles to non-finance colleagues
- You will need to be focused on timing and accuracy to deliver excellent service for your stakeholders.
- You have experience of working to multiple deadlines
- Preferably you’ll have experience using Oracle Hyperion, OBIEE or other relevant Finance systems

**Minimum criteria**:

- Proven experience working in a business facing Finance role
- Qualified Accountant
