**General Duties & Responsibilities**
As Specialist Public Policy, EMEA you will be a member of the FIS Government Relations team. You will play a key role in monitoring and helping to shape the political, legislative, and regulatory environment in which FIS operates. Areas of policy will includeEU and UK payments, digital assets, and financial technology policy. You will monitor relevant developments and prepare briefings for key internal stakeholders on key issues. You will also engage with external stakeholders to collect intelligence and influencerelevant policy developments (e.g., representing FIS at trade association meetings, preparing responses to regulatory consultations).
The role will be based in London, and you will report to the Specialist of Public Policy for Payments, Crypto and Digital Assets on the Government Relations Team.- Monitor, identify and analyse legislative and regulatory trends, developments and risks surrounding payments, financial technology, and digital assets.
- Communicate key strategic and tactical implications to senior management and other key internal stakeholders.
- Further FIS business objectives through direct engagement with policymakers, regulators, FIS clients, and other external stakeholders, as well as indirectly through trade associations and other industry bodies.
- Assist with policy-related client communications efforts
- Support thought leadership, education and advocacy strategies for payments, financial technology and digital asset policy and regulation, including by developing content for public presentations or policymaker briefings and engagements.
- Work with cross-functional partners to generate comment letters and official responses to key policy consultations.
- Coordinate and support engagement with external stakeholders on relevant regulatory initiatives (e.g. trade association meetings, preparing responses to regulatory consultations).
- Other related duties assigned as needed.

**Education Requirements**:

- A relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic qualification (law/economics/public policy/business administration)

**General Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Proven EU and/or UK public policy experience in the areas of payments, financial technology, and/or digital assets. Experience can be from government/regulator, consultancy and/or in-house public policy / government relations function.
- Experience engaging with or working for EU and/or UK policymakers and regulators, particularly in the areas of payments, financial technology and digital assets.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with limited managerial direction.
- Adaptable and resourceful, and able to work both independently and collaboratively as appropriate.
- Able to consistently exercise sound judgment and understand the broader commercial and regulatory environment in which FIS operates.
- Have an interest in payments related public policy issues is a must.
- Having an interest in digital assets, crypto and blockchain technology would be a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex messages in a clear, concise and professional manner.
- Excellent analytical skills
