Salt is proud to collaborate with this world-renowned hospitality giant as they search for a talented Policy Communications Specialist to join their team on an immediate starting, 12 month contract role. Working closely with their Comms Lead and Senior CommunicationsManager, you will work to develop robust and effective corporate and policy communications strategies to drive growth, favourability and positive awareness of the company brand across the UK and Ireland.

**Key Role Responsibilities**:

- Handling proactive and reactive policy and corporate communications in region
- Liaising with key policy/corporate campaign and business stakeholders
- Assisting with proactive and reactive trust and crisis communications in the region as needed, liaising with the EMEA News team based in London and other relevant internal stakeholders including customer services
- Draft written materials - story pitches, press releases, messaging guidelines, Q&As, briefs, presentations, speeches etc
- Effectively prepare briefings for media interviews and public speaking engagements
- Expert understanding of the media market, to develop relationships with key reporters
- Work closely and seamlessly with the consumer comms team and the European policy and communications teams

**Key Skills Required**:

- Minimum of 3-5 years experience working in policy and corporate communications
- Proven experience of work on communications initiatives involving trust, crisis, policy, regulatory, corporate and financial matters
- Ability to work collaboratively with multi-functional leads in a matrix organisation
- Excellent writing and strong verbal communications and interpersonal skills
- Experience in media relations with an established media network
- Experience working on projects within a fast-paced environment
- Possess strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong problem solving skills and interest in consumer issues
- Ability to travel, sometimes on short notice
