Six Town Housing is an Arms Length Management Organisation (ALMO), set up in 2005 to manage the housing stock owned by Bury Council. We provide a wide range of services to around 8,000 homes in Bury including tenancy support and our repairs and maintenance service. We also have a capital work’s team who deliver projects around housing improvements and development of current properties. We currently have 235 employees of which approximately 200 are out and about in the community.
This role is an agile role, which means that you are welcome to work from wherever is best for you and Six Town Housing. Our Head Office in Bury Town Centre is available for desk booking whenever you want to attend the office. You will be required to travel across the Borough and will therefore need to hold a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle.

**Your Line Manager**:Housing Services Co-ordinator
**Why you are here**:To provide a comprehensive housing management service, maintaining a high community profile and point of contact for tenants and leaseholders.
**What you do**:
Maintain a high community profile and act as a main point of contact for tenants, leaseholders, Councillors and partner agencies within the neighbourhood, ensuring appropriate advice and information is given in relation to housing, tenancy management and neighbourhood issues. Deal with enquiries, complaints and disputes and take remedial action, as required.
Ensure tenants understand and adhere to the terms of the tenancy agreement by promoting a positive payment and behaviour culture.
Investigate and seek to resolve complaints of anti-social behaviour, neighbour disputes and other tenancy breaches in line with procedures and in liaison with partner agencies, as appropriate. Agree remedial actions, monitor compliance and take further action, as required
Prepare and submit all necessary legal paperwork in accordance with relevant protocols and legislation.
Investigate and collect evidence following reports of abandoned properties, tenancy fraud and request for management transfers. Report and act on findings, as appropriate.
Provide evidence at Court and to Panel Hearings, including representing the company at Court as required. Manage Court Orders to ensure compliance, oversee evictions and assist the Court Bailiff to ensure vacant possession of properties, as appropriate.
Allocate properties and garages, undertake viewings, sign up new tenants and undertake welcome visits in accordance with the Council’s allocation’s policy and Six Town Housing’s procedures, supporting the development of local initiatives to improve the lettability of the housing stock, as required.
Identify, support and make appropriate referrals to enable tenants to sustain their tenancies. Identify, refer and work in partnership with other agencies to safeguard vulnerable adults, children, victims of crime and domestic abuse. Attend multi-agency meetings and take responsibility for delegated actions, as appropriate.
Investigate, approve and process changes to tenancy conditions, including facilitating mutual exchanges and arranging decants, as appropriate.
Collaborate and work in partnership with STH colleagues and partner agencies to support the delivery of community activities, consultation exercises and neighbourhood initiatives.
Ensure housing management system is updated with accurate tenant information and quality notes where required.
