Mobile phone andlaptop provided.Job PurposeThe integrated Front Door to Dorset Children's Services encompasses the Children's Advice and Duty Service, the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), Early Help Hub and the Out of Hours service (OOHS). The ChAD service is a telephoneand consultation-based service for all safeguarding contacts and referrals, with the overall aim that we work with children, young people and their families, and that they receive the right service, right place, first time. We work closely with the Early HelpHub and our MASH partners, so good communication and relationship
- building skills are key.This is a full-time Team Manager post (37 hours per week), working alongside two other ChAD Team Managers and the Early Help Hub Team Manager. The ChAD Team Managershave operational responsibility and oversight for the ChAD service, OOHS and MASH.As part of this role you will have supervisory responsibility for Consultant Social Workers, ChAD Advisors and ChAD Co-ordinators.The role will also include: Chairing of strategydiscussions Managing workflow and decision making Quality Assurance of decision making Weekly auditing alongside partner agencies Using data and dashboards for performance management Lead roles for key areas of work, for example, Domestic Abuse, Child Exploitation,Prevent Managing staff rotas to ensure sufficient service cover, particularly in times of increased need Working closely with partner agencies to ensure effective information sharing supports good decision making at the front door, that has a focus on theneeds of children, young people and their families Facilitating reflective workshops and group supervisionYou will also be expected to work closely with the Early Help Team Manager and your ChAD Team Manager colleagues, to manage and support the competingdemands of a busy and fast-paced front door service.The Children's Advice and Duty Service works 7 days per week.
