Personal Care Assistant

**The job**:We are looking for Personal Assistants (PA’s) to join our team caring for three physically disabled adult brothers with social and health needs who live independently in the family home with parents.
**The Hours**: 2 nights a week, 7pm-7am and also require day staff working various shifts, 7am-7pm, 7-1pm, 1pm-7pm, 5pm-10pm. Day staff will also be required when necessary to work an odd night shift as an when required.

**Typical Duties**
- All aspects of Personal care - Washing, showering, Dressing, toileting as and when required
- Medication
- Night time ventilation
- Assistance with physiotherapy - including use of cough assist machine.
- Domestic tasks - Laundry, general household cleaning duties.
- Meal preparation and feeding.
- Moving and handling. - using overhead hoists.
- Cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Any other relevant duties.
The right person Experience in care work would be an advantage. It is not essential that you have experience in care, but you must have common sense, be flexible, enthusiastic and willing to learn You will receive full training in all aspects of this role. The main thing is that you have a naturally friendly, and caring nature.
**Essential qualities.**
extremely high levels of punctuality and reliability - lack of PA support directly affects a PA user’s ability to live their life and can be dangerous.
good physical mobility and strength, and the capacity to provide support to someone with limited mobility - consequently this job may not be suitable for someone with their own mobility impairment.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week
**Salary**: £12.00-£13.00 per hour

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
- Overtime
