Customer Service & Warehousing Assistant

Job Purpose:

- Become a product/portfolio expert.
- Take ownership and maintain stock management.
- Provide customer information in response to enquiries about products and services.
- Provide support for sales team around customers, orders, quotations, and problem-solving quality issues.

**Duties**:

- CRM & Database administration - Keep records of customer interactions and transactions, including enquiries, comments and complaints, using Sales-i software.
- Use IT packages such as Microsoft Office Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Sage & Sales-i: Produce and despatch orders/ invoices using Sage 50; Maintain Sage 50 and sales-i databases.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments, especially technical service, sales and finance
- Purchasing and Stock Management to include: Liaison with product suppliers to ensure stock levels maintained; purchase order processing; produce stock forecasting report on a monthly basis
- Maintenance of the stock management system.
- Carry out market research, desk research & customer surveys
- Maintain product and competitor files
- Manage portfolio tender opportunities
- Assist with event organisation (exhibitions, study days and internal meetings); Support and attend product launches and training courses;
- Other marketing and sales support activity as required.
- To assist in receiving goods inwards, check and inspect goods received ensuring they are of accurate quantity, type and acceptable quality.
- To carry out regular stock takes and quality control.
- To pick and pack orders to be despatched to customer
- To assist with accurately logging of goods inwards and dispatched onto the computer stock management system.
- Liaise with external third-party logistics providers

**Requirements**:

- A levels or equivalent
- Use of IT packages such as Microsoft Office Word, EXCEL, PowerPoint
- Numeric and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal communications skills, verbal and written
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Organisational skills & ability to meet deadlines
- Professional appearance
- Team worker
- Able to work under own initiative
- Prior Experience in Warehouse, Storage & Distribution
- Must be able to conduct manual handling up to the limits specified by the HSE

**Salary**: £21,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
