Vintage Legends Group comprises five wholly owned subsidiaries and has a strategy of limited diversification and covers the following activities.
- Aero Legends: Vintage flight experiences, pilot training and air shows.
- Aero Legends leasing: Owns the in-group fleet of aircraft.
- Vintage Aero: Maintains the in group and more than 200 third party aircraft.
- North Weald Flying Services: Operates The Squadron at North Weald Airfield in Essex and The George public house at Headcorn, Kent.
- Motor Legends: Restoring classic cars.
The group has shown strong top and bottom-line growth and has a clear strategy to continue to grow over the next period of our strategic plan. We have just concluded a deal to operate most of the flights for Guy Ritchie the movie director at his new airfield in Dorset (Compton Abbas).
The group has invested heavily in cloud-based software to enable efficiency of production of information and the share ability to share it real time at multiple locations.
Job role
- Vintage Legends are looking for an Admin Assistant for its service centre on North Weald Airfield to look after the day-to-day office and financial control of 3 of the business’. This role will also include assisting Vintage Aero with admin tasks as well.
You will report to the Finance & Administration Manager and work very closely with him on all operational and financial issues. You will also work closely with the Senior Aircraft Engineer regarding the aircraft records. We operate the Xero accounting system across all subsidiaries.
**Job Description**:
- We are looking for an Admin Assistant to assist with three of the companies as well as perform some key administrative roles.
Daily tasks:
- Processing purchase invoices from start to finish - loading them onto the system, filing them away, marking them as paid.
- Issuing invoices to third party customers, chasing debtors.
- Reconciling the bank.
- Assisting with Vintage Aero admin by answering calls.
- Administrative tasks for the office such as filing and scanning in documents.
- Maintain and manage any records associated with the maintenance management or operation.
- Liaise with the Engineer regarding the management of components.
- Auditing work packs and updating logbooks.
Monthly tasks:
- Recording and ordering of stock such as fuel, site supplies etc.
- Helping with payroll every month and keeping track of holiday, sickness etc.
- Keeping track of company vehicles.
Key skills:
- Excellent with Excel and other Microsoft software.
- Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines while delivering high quality work in a dynamic environment are essential.
Desirable:
Experience with Xero.
Salary and benefits:
- Base salary £18 - £22k.
