Procurement Manager

Our client is an award-winning packaging company that works with the latest machinery and technology. This allows them to continue to be a worldwide supplier of premium cartons to the Fine Fragrance, Cosmetics, and Premium Spirits Drink markets. They are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to be the lead individual responsible for managing and control of the companys suppliers, with a particular emphasis on the purchase of carton board material. **Your responsibilities will include: -** - Manage daily purchasing activities. - Establish relationships with new and existing key suppliers that are crucial to the company's needs together with agreeing terms, where appropriate, including discount structures and volume rebates. - Ensure that all materials within the supply chain are on time and ensure accurate communication with Sales and relevant departments as necessary. - Work closely together with Commercial Manager to minimise lead-time and maximise output. - Provide a responsive and pro-active knowledge base of current market and industry constraints. - Highlight any quality failings to suppliers and manufacturers to always retain requisite performance. - Assist with problem resolution on any supply chain related issues. - Be assigned projects, which support supply activity and development of procurement function. - Monthly reports on spend analysis and stock reconciliation. - Experience in a Procurement Manager role. - Preferable to have experience in a packaging manufacturing environment or in a similar field. - Solid judgment along with decision making skills and strong leadership capabilities. - Microsoft Office capable (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
