**Where does this role fit in?**

As a Project Surveyor, you'll be at the heart of our Assets - Contracts department, working closely with the Senior Project Surveyor. You'll manage contractor relationships, oversee project performance, and ensure that all projects adhere to our corporate contract methodology and budget provisions. This role is based in Newport/ Swansea and follows an agile work style, offering flexibility and a dynamic work environment.

**What skills and experience do you need?**

**For Project Surveyor (Tier 1)**:

- Experience in maintenance within a contractor or client role.
- Understanding of cost management procedures and budget monitoring.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A BTEC Ordinary National Certificate in Building Studies or equivalent.

**For Project Surveyor (Tier 2)**:

- Proven experience in maintenance and project management.
- Strong skills in preparing tenders, schedules of works, and supervising contractors.
- Thorough knowledge of the Welsh Housing Quality Standard (WHQS) or equivalent.
- Ability to manage contractor performance and ensure effective delivery of work programmes.
- Innovative thinking to challenge historical methods of working.
- Accreditation in Energy Assessment
- A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.

Both levels require a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work.

**What are the pay and benefits?**
- £32,987.00 for a 37 hour, full time, permanent position (Tier 1) or £40,008.00 for a (Tier 2) Project Surveyor
- Flexible working policies -Our offices are Newport & Swansea where our team meetings take place. Time can be spent at home and in the office to complete any relevant admin tasks.
- We have two positions available, one based in Newport, where you will have regular time spent in and around the Newport area and within Monmouthshire too. The other role is based in Swansea, where you will have regular time spent in and around the Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Carmarthenshire area too
