An **Assistant Quantity Surveyor** is required for a well-established building contractor with over 37 years experience with an enviable reputation amongst clients right across the commercial, industrial and public sectors.

The right **Assistant Quantity Surveyor** would be working with a small dynamic team on their health authority projects averaging in value of £250K and the successful person will have the opportunity to grow within the company as there is plentyof work to impress.

My client invests heavily in training to ensure any new member to the team can provide the high-quality standard required throughout every element of their work. **Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Position Overview**
- Prepare and price tenders ready to send
- Show creativity and resourcefulness to gain better pricing from subcontractors
- Prepare subcontractor packages and contracts.
- Have a thorough understanding of the scope for specific trades assigned
- Submit bids and budgets by the bid deadline.
- Review bid requirements thoroughly and asks follow-up question on every bid
- Review awarded tender drawings with Project team and highlight areas of concern
- Handle all subcontractor interactions in a manner designed to build a long-term relationship.
- To assist in maximising cashflow through the control, measurement and valuation of work and the invoicing of customers and payment of suppliers

**Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Position Requirements**
- Experience in a similar position
- Able to manage a wide range of projects
- Able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
- Dedicated to maintaining the highest quality standards
- A good communicator with an organised and methodical approach to completion of projects
- Commercially aware with a good grasp of operating under different forms of contracts
- Competent with Microsoft word, excel, project, access and power point
- Must hold a valid Driver’s Licence

**Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Position Remuneration**
- Salary between £28,000 - £32,000 depending upon experience
- Monday to Friday
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Pension Scheme
