**Job Title**: Engineering & Maintenance Supervisor

**Location**: Stockton

**Salary**: Competitive

**Hours**: Days (38.5 hours Monday - Friday)

**Overview of the role**:
As Engineering and Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of both the departments across multiple sites (Stockton & County Durham) and ensuring the availability of plant facilities and technical expertiserequired to achieve maximum uptime.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Drive the safety culture to ensure that all KPIs, company policies, regulations and laws are met from a health and safety perspective.
- Supervising the day-to-day maintenance and engineering activities to maximise machine uptime and manufacturing process efficiency.
- Manage an effective spare parts process (within annual budget) to ensure zero machine downtime due to spare parts delinquency.
- Identify, appoint, and manage third party service and maintenance suppliers to achieve maximum uptime through preventative maintenance and repair programs.
- Day to day management of the maintenance and engineering teams to ensure optimal production coverage from a capacity and capability perspective.
- Manage, maintain and improve the Computerised Maintenance Management system (CMMS) monitoring work requests and ensuring timely close out in line with departmental KPI’s
- Attend interdepartmental meetings to represent maintenance and engineering, providing relevant input, and taking responsibility for any assigned actions.
- Identify training requirements within the teams and work alongside HR to arrange refreshers and courses.
- Set objectives and provide performance management at team and individual level, linking appraisal objectives to measured output and departmental KPIs.
- Provide regular reporting to the senior management team on department performance.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrable experience in a heavy Engineering environment
- Relevant Maintenance/Engineering qualification - City and Guilds or equivalent Level 4 or HNC/HND.
- Awareness and compliance of all relevant rules, regulations, and laws.
- High level of knowledge of maintenance and/or engineering processes and activities.
- Ability to influence internal and external personnel.
- High level of experience with maintenance systems.
- An experienced people manager within a maintenance/engineering environment.
- Strong problem solving, communication, decision making and change management skills.
