Position details:

The purpose of this role is to have responsibility for the company's maintenance operations, whilst working collaboratively with the Maintenance Manager to lead and motivate your team. You'll assist with coordinating the weekly activities of the maintenance department, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards across a range of maintenance and manufacturing tasks.

Pay:
 £34,000.00-£36,000.00 per year

Who We're Looking For:

We're looking for individuals with relevant technical and/or professional qualifications in maintenance (carpentry, electrical or plumbing) and experience in a supervisory role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the maintenance team, which can vary between 2-6 staff, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently, whilst collaborating with and reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Allocate and monitor daily maintenance tasks, ensuring accuracy and competence.
  • Oversee technical maintenance and repair works of equipment. This will include hands-on tasks performed by yourself.

Essentials:

  • Qualifications or experience in either carpentry, electrical or plumbing. Or general maintenance experience.
  • Previously worked in a supervisory role (this can be small teams)
  • Strong understanding of time management
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Full driving licence & own vehicle (location is rural)
  • Forklift & telehandler experience or license
