The Treasury Markets Team is a key part of Group Treasury in managing the balance sheet of the group and an enabler for business success. The role of Dealer, Market Risk Management is really important to us. You will contribute to the external management of the interest rate portfolios and related market risks of the bank within strategy and limits to achieve budgeted returns while minimizing earnings volatility

This role will be based in our London office however, you will be able to work a blend of both home and office each week. You’ll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager, and colleagues through regular contact and virtual interaction.

**What would your day look like?**
- Identification, evaluation and execution of value-added risk management transactions and techniques.
- Delivery of best in class hedging structures to support flow business interest rate risk management for business lines across the bank, including liability hedging strategies.
- Contribute to the PL and Performance of the Treasury Markets Interest Rate Portfolios.
- Contributing to the regular review and presentation of the Strategic Rates Strategy at Monthly Treasury Markets Strategy Review, Treasury Management Meetings.
- Contributor to the Bank’s Macro House View and Forecasts including Rates market research.
- To provide markets facing information to the risk team and business teams to assist in the evaluation and control of the bank’s treasury interest rate risk and corresponding liquidity and market risks.
- Assistance to the other area of Treasury Markets in meeting team obligations and providing cover for leave or absence.

**What do we expect of you?**
- Knowledge and applicable experience of financial markets and instruments, especially; Derivative Instruments (Swaps, Options, Swaptions).
- Interest Rate Risk Management Structures and Techniques supporting a dynamic balance sheet.
- Risk Measurement, Modelling and Valuation applicable to Interest Rate Risk Management Products.
- Understanding of and Direct Experience of IRRBB, EaR, and IRB within a UK Retail/Commercial Bank.
- An analytical, detail oriented mid-set with a particular focus on addressing challenging business issues with innovative and well researched solutions.
- A good understanding of Bank Treasury and how it interconnects with the organization as a whole.
- Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills, a true team player.
- Highly numerically literate, advanced excel and modelling expertise.
