This role is an exciting opportunity to join East Sussex County Council as a Team Leader at Grangemead, providing short term emergency placements and planned respite to adults with Learning Disabilities.

Grangemead offers excellent support for up to 12 guests in our beautifully designed building, the team are skilled at supporting our emergency guests through difficult times and do so with positivity and compassion, if you think you have the leadership qualities and core values to complement this committed supportive team then please apply.

The Team leader role is integral to the service, you will need to lead by example when providing direct support and ensure the guests views are heard and respected, you will need to be confident communicating with people who are important to our guests and professionals who are involved in their support.

You will also be a key part of the overall management for the staff team. You will need to be able to work independently and in partnership with the other Team Leader to maintain high standards of service delivery, writing and updating support plan documentation to a high standard and implementing the service development plan. You will also have line management responsibility for staff.

Our guests are at the heart of everything we do, Our service is rated Good by CQC.

The working pattern currently follows a two week rota, with alternate rest weekends. The shift pattern does have some flexibility with a mix of 9-5 office days and early or late shifts.

Our guests rarely want to leave after an emergency stay, as they enjoy the fun lively atmosphere of Grangemead. But they do so with our best wishes having received support and advocacy; opportunities to enhance their life skills; develop friendships and new interests.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
