Grangemead is a countywide respite and emergency service for adults with Learning Disabilities in Hailsham, which was refurbished to a high standard offering a hotel style service. All bedrooms have en-suite facilities. We have interactive sensory equipment and the latest in assistive technology to enhance the experience of guests staying with us.

The service provides a fun holiday experience for long and short respite stays where we promote life skills, independence, community presence and opportunities to meet new friends.

The emergency service provides accommodation to individuals who are experiencing a difficult time in their lives e.g., safeguarding, homeless, illness, death, or end of placement with carers.

The senior job is an integral role at Grangemead, you are there to support guests on a day-to-day basis on shift as well as manage a staff team. Seniors construct shift plans and organise activities within their teams alongside support workers to ensure all guests have an enjoyable fun stay at Grangemead, these could be themed weekends or activities.

Seniors will complete handovers to other teams as well as feedback to management and implements and changes discussed to improve the service.

Rotas are completed on a 6 week rolling rotas and are a combination of Lates (14:00 -21:45) and Early’s (7:15 - 15:00) these times slightly differ at weekends.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
