At Grangemead, a top-tier respite and emergency service for adults with learning disabilities located in Hailsham. Our beautifully refurbished facility provides a warm, hotel-style atmosphere complete with en-suite accommodations and interactive sensory equipment to enrich our guests’ experiences. We offer a fun holiday experience for both long and short respite stays, promoting life skills, independence, community presence, and opportunities for guests to forge new friendships. Our emergency services accommodate individuals facing challenging life circumstances such as safeguarding issues, homelessness, illness, bereavement, or the end of placement with caregivers.

The role requires working collaboratively in pairs to ensure the safe running of the service overnight and handing over to senior staff in the mornings (and take handover in the evenings). Supporting guests with a range of needs, from low-level support to high and complex requirements, including PEG feeding, managing challenging behaviours, and moving and handling support. The role also entails performing security checks and maintaining cleanliness to uphold Grangemead’s high standards, ensuring a safe environment for all guests.

Our rotas operate on a 6-week rolling schedule, with Waking Night Support workers completing 2 shifts per week 21:30 - 07:30 - this will include working weekends.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Administering medication
- Completing night checks on guest
- Completing cleaning duties overnight
- Preparing drinks and snacks when needed
- Assisting with personal care

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
