**Community Development Assistant**

**Circa £23,000 per annum**

**37 hours per week**

Can you provide excellent assistance to the Community Development Team, ensuring data is collected in line with the requirements of any funders?
- The Community House is a project based in East Worthing that runs a number of structured, timetabled activities. The house is owned by Worthing Homes and aims to support the needs of individuals within the local community._
- The ability to co-ordinate sessions in the absence of the Community Engagement Worker
- The ability to accurately collate and process customer and evaluation data
- Strong organisational skills including time and process management, with an excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to plan and prioritise a complex workload to meet deadlines and able to demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively in and between teams
- The ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences both verbally and in writing. In particular, demonstrate the ability to be able to communicate with people tactfully and patiently and a non-judgemental approach.
- A positive enthusiastic approach and flexible attitude to change
- The willingness and ability to work towards/seek continuous development and improvement

**Main responsibilities**:

- To create stronger community engagement in the service and contribute to the work of the team to deliver excellent quality, flexible, customer focussed services to enable us to achieve, or exceed, our targets.
- Act as an ambassador for Worthing Homes in the community
- To ensure accurate collation and recording of feedback and statistics in relation to community development activities as required by Worthing Homes and other funders
- To coordinate marketing tasks such as basic leaflets, liaising with Worthing Homes PR and Marketing officer to update internal and external websites and social media pages
- To provide assistance to the running of community development activities at various locations
- To signpost participants to appropriate support where necessary
