**About us**:
Our Targeted Youth Service sits in Children's Services, Early Help division and enables young people to be heard, healthy and safe through delivering high quality personal and social education in safe spaces so young people can learn about themselves and how they fit into the world, working with them to be partners and leaders in their own learning, helping them to gain influence over issues they are concerned about and engage in the democratic process.
**The role**:
We are an enthusiastic, energetic and experienced team, young people say of us they can be themselves, have fun, feel able to talk about what worries them, learn stuff, feel listened to get time to chill and get a say about what they want to do.
As a Youth Support Worker, you will assist the Lead Youth Worker in the delivery of planned, reviewed and evaluated sessions that may be delivered in a building supporting one of our regular groups or through our Street Based offer working in spaces and places young people choose to hang out. **What's needed?**:
This is for a 7 hour a week contract, worked over two 3.5-hour evenings predominately Thursday and Friday. We are looking to hear from people who have relevant/transferable skills, knowledge and/or experience that they feel can help them build positive relationships, so that young people can get the very best out of the time they spend with us.
If you don’t have a JNC Level 2 or 3 in Youth Work, there may be opportunities through government funding for you to access this training.
