**The What...**
Day-to-day ownership of all Cash Control accounts to ensure all issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently and risk of fraud is minimised. Investigate cash variances with centre teams and ensure the Accounts & Cash Manager is kept up to date of any investigations that are ongoing by providing accurate weekly updates.
The responsibilities of the role includes:

- Monitor the cash report every Monday and investigate large balances as per cash policy, in conjunction with the Centres reported variances.
- Weekly finance export upload from the back of house system (Zonal).
- Post daily journals for cash in transit.
- Reconcile the individual centre cash control accounts.
- Raise investigations for banking variances when highlighted by the cash processing centre (Barclays).
- Monitor/investigate all cash control account balances that are over the write off threshold.
- Report weekly on balances in the control accounts under investigation.
- Deal with all cash in transit provider queries (Loomis).
- Process customer refunds for online and phone bookings.
- Manage banking book requests from centre and stock levels held in the support office.
- Log cheques received and complete journals once cheques are banked.

To be successful, you'll have:

- A good understanding of accounting.
- Experience within a multi-site company.
- Previous experience of completing regular reporting.
- Experience with different types of cash reconciliations.
- Good relationship building skills.
- Competent in the use of Excel.
- Diligent, with good attention to detail.
- Proactive and can use own initiative.
