Research Communications and Marketing Executive
Location: Stratford (high flex - we would expect you to be in the office 1-2 days per week).
**Salary**: £25,000 - £28,000 pa
Contract Type / Hours: Permanent / Full time 35 hours per week
What will I be doing?
Some of the key duties include:
- Supporting the team in delivering an engaging programme of communication and marketing activities to reach researchers in academia and industry, working across CRUK-owned, paid and third-party channels (including digital, social media, print, direct mail, events and advertising).
Creating high-quality, scientifically-accurate, engaging copy and communications. materials.
- Supporting the production of long-form stories for researcher audiences, including developing content ideas, copyediting, proofreading, publishing and promoting content.
- Supporting the growth of our digital storytelling capabilities by contributing to editorial, marketing and digital improvements and getting involved in projects that improve user experience and increase the reach and impact of our content.
- To analyse and report on communications and marketing activities, producing monthly reports and ad hoc analyses.
What skills are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who
- Is a confident communicator, excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate complex information in a clear and accessible way
- Is experienced in using digital communications channels and running successful digital and/or social media channels and campaigns
- Demonstrates initiative, self-motivated and solutions focused
- Has strong attention to detail
- Has a passion for Cancer Research UK cause and work
- Is analytical, with experience producing reports and dashboards
- Has excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to network, build and maintain good working relationships
- Has excellent project management, organisation and planning skills
