Location: Stratford, London (high flex - we would expect you to be in the office 1-2 days per week).

**Salary**: £30,000 - £35,000 pa pro rata depending on experience + benefits

Contract Type / Hours: Fixed Term Contract for 6 months / Full time 35 hours per week (Other flexible-working requests can also be considered if they meet business needs)

What will I be doing?

The Senior Research Executive supports the delivery of prospect identification and provides proactive and reactive research in a variety of fundraising areas to drive income for the Philanthropy directorate.

Some of the key duties include:
- Use a variety of resources to identify and research prospects with capacity and propensity to support the work of CRUK at various levels.- Work with teams across the directorate to identify potential donors from CRUK’s database of existing supporters, volunteers, and event attendees to support pipeline development.- Undertake research into senior volunteers’ and stakeholders’ networks to identify potential peer links and new prospects to support fundraiser’s cultivation strategies.- Compile full and accurate research briefings for individuals, trusts and foundations depending on your fundraising area, in accordance with the Data Protection Act.- Undertake database maintenance and high-quality data entry, complying with internal processes and in line with Data Protection.- Utilise the database to provide reporting and analysis on prospects for the team and department demonstrating knowledge and expertise with colleagues to the benefit of frontline fundraising.- Work with peers to support and resolve issues and improve day-to-day operational effectiveness within the team.- Work with the Research Managers to contribute to the research strategy and campaign prospect research planning.

What skills are we looking for?

We’re looking for a highly analytical, proactive individual with excellent stakeholder management skills and proven experience in prospect research.

You will bring to the role:
- Proven ability to identify and solve a range of problems in a straightforward manner with mínimal guidance.- Proven ability to collect and assess information rapidly, identifying key points and drawing conclusions.- A positive attitude and willingness to operate as part of a team.- Good stakeholder management, with the ability to build strong working relationships.- Experience of gathering, cross referencing and synthesising information from a wide range of sources.- Strong communication skills in both written and verbal form.- Proven record of influencing, persuading and negotiating with stakeholders at different levels, including senior leadership.- Experience of working in major gift fundraising with an understanding of the role that prospect research should play within it.- Familiarity with the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
