An exciting opportunity has arisen for a senior administrator to join the Integrated Care Team working with the Community Paediatric Service.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Administrative Assistant to work with in the Integrated Care Team based at 659 The Crescent, Colchester.
The purpose of the role is to manage all referrals to the team in line with agreed clinical pathways, providing appropriate administration support including receipt of registered patient referrals, service user contact and appointment booking.
Previous experience in an office setting or working within a health & social care environment is desirable but not essential.
You will need to have a high level of IT skills and be familiar with setting up, maintaining and reporting on databases.
You will need to be self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal skills, good time management and be able to work with minimum supervision.
- To act as an ambassador for the organisation and their team by providing a high standard of communication skills at all times
- To deal with telephone enquiries/referrals in a polite and helpful manner; ensuring messages are prioritised and actioned as appropriate
- To effectively communicate with other internal and external stakeholders, members of staff and the public, providing clear explanations and presenting positive image
- To use internal processes and own initiative for escalation of complaints in an effective, timely manner
- To manage often complex clinical personal information according to Caldicott guidelines
- Book appointments for patients.
