Marine Claims Handler

Our client who is a Lloyd's Brokers based in the City are looking for an experienced Marine Claims Handler to join their expanding Claims department in the City office. The purpose of the role is to process and handle all Marine Claims from first adviceto settlement.
Main Duties:
Responsible for handling claims from first advice to settlement.
Coordination between leading market and our following markets throughout the claims life,
ensuring the smoothest process and promptest settlement once claims are eventually approved: continuous updating on estimates and corresponding reserves,
gathering of various necessary documents such as survey reports,
payment authorities, confirmation of warranties compliance, leaders' approvals, etc.
Maintain relationships with several external professionals (surveyors, adjusters, lawyers, shipbrokers, lenders, etc.) during the fundamental activity of coordination which grants the fast and precise settlement of claims.
Dealing with all classes of Marine claims to include Marine Hull & Liability, Cargo, P&I, Liability.
Essential Skills Required:
- Previous experience handling Marine Hull & Liability, Cargo, P&I, Liability.
Desirable:
- Good organisation skills
- Good Computer skills
- Knowledge of the London claims market
