We are currently looking for an individual to come join our team at our Mount Chambers Branch in Braintree as a Counter Assistant. We are recruiting for 17 hours per week covering Monday to Friday.

Monday 2pm till 6pm

Tuesday Off

Wednesday 2pm till 6pm

Thursday 9:30am till 2pm

Friday
- 9:30am till 2pm

You will be the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent service and support in a busy community pharmacy.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assisting customers with over-the-counter medicines and health advice (within your level of training)
- Processing sales and handling prescriptions efficiently
- Supporting the pharmacist with daily dispensary and stock management tasks
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and professional counter and retail area
- Ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with pharmacy regulations

You may be required to deliver healthcare advice and signpost customers where necessary.

**Personal specification - Ideally, we are looking for someone with the following**:
**Essential**:

- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Friendly, approachable, and professional manner
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
- Willingness to learn and undertake relevant pharmacy training

**Desirable**:

- Previous experience in a pharmacy or retail environment
- Knowledge of over-the-counter medicines and health products
- Medicine Counter Course in Pharmacy Services or willingness to work towards it - Company funded
- Dynamic and extremely organised, good attention to detail and high levels of concentration.
- Dedicated to the customer experience and customer care.
- High levels of literacy and numeracy are essential.
