Due to our increasing workload we are looking to employ a pharmacy technician to support our pharmacy team in the smoothe running of our pharmacy, and to support our clinical and reception team.

At Millennium Veterinary Practice we believe in treating animals as if they are our own, and in treating all pets, colleagues and clients with respect and dignity. We are an independent, friendly, small animal practice in Braintree, Essex.

Hours are 9am to 3pm Monday and Wednesday with sickness and holiday cover required. The cover shifts are hours from 8am to 7pm. Hourly rate £10 per hour.

Day to day jobs will include:
1) Dispensing medications that veterinary clinical staff have prescribed

2) Double checking medications that staff have dispensed

3) Ordering pharmaceutical products from the wholesaler

4) Unpacking orders and checking against orders

5) Return of stock (unwanted or short dated)

6) Ordering special medicines from other suppliers

7) Manually putting special orders into stock on Robovet

8) Maintaining stock supplies

9) Liaising with the wholesaler to source alternative drugs when standard ones are unavailable

10) Ordering of medical and surgical consumables (in combination with the nursing team)

11) Rotation of stock

12) Maintaining pharmacy order and cleanliness Weekly/ Monthly tasks

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £10.00 per hour
