It provides education from two-year-olds to the end of year 6. Sythwood celebrates children and staff from a range of ethnicities and cultures. Around 60% of children learn English as an Additional Language. Sythwood is a truly inclusive school. The number of children with additional needs is higher than average. The significant areas of needs are: Moderate Learning Difficulty, Speech, Language and Communication and Vision Impairment. The school has a Specialist Centre for children with Vision Impairment. The proportion of pupils known to be eligible for Free School Meals is above average. The school motto, "Be Ready, Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Your Best," is interwoven throughout our curriculum.
