**Role: Head of Analytics and HR Information Systems**
**Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum**
**Location: Hybrid working - 35 Hours per week**
Our client is a leading University in London well known for its rich heritage and innovative academic faculties. They seek a knowledgeable and experienced Head of HR Analytics and HRIS to head up the team and embed a long-term strategy and agenda for peopleanalytics and HR Information Systems. You will bring clarity, transparency and consistency to HR business processes and the service provision.
This is an excellent opportunity to build the business processes in the HR Data and Transactions team and across the wider HR offering using a robust, data-driven approach using modern technology and software.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for planning, progressing and completion of the annual staff HESA return.
- Line Management of the HRIS Officer
- Support the senior HR management team in delivering an accurate and efficient service in the area of HR Transactions.
- Lead on the continuing drive to underpin all areas of HR activities with high quality staff data.
- Lead on the implementation and monitoring of data processing audits and statistics and real-time/immediate processing feedback.
- Expand the current processes that support the improvement of staff data collection, input, and maintenance.
- Assess, review and identify improvements that can be made to our approach to data.
- Lead on the continuous development of all relevant HR systems by identifying issues with current functionality and analysing system efficiency against business requirements.
- Act as HR lead on any relevant system upgrades, to include scoping and documenting requirements, tender evaluation and user acceptance testing.
- Act as 'designate lead' for HR system issues, evaluate these issues and collaborate with the relevant team to resolve them.
- Manage the key relationship between Payroll and HR and ensure that HR and Payroll requirements are considered as a whole. Ensure a truly seamless experiences for all stakeholders.
- Act as 'point person' for changes to HR processing.
- Play an active role in bringing together colleagues in Student Services, Finance and Strategic Planning and Projects to ensure a collective and cohesive approach to data management and optimisation of statutory returns.
- Collaborate and engage with other teams and departments as required to inform data management and continuous improvement.
**Person Specification**:
- Degree or relevant professional qualification
- Knowledge of HR and Payroll processes, information system controls, including change and problem-solving management
- _Higher_Education_Statistics_Agency_ (_HESA_) Staff Returns specialist
- Experienced user of HR systems and able to extract data to provide accurate management information and relevant statutory returns
- Experience of process review, design, and monitoring
- Experienced using Agresso HR beneficial
- Ability to liaise with senior stakeholders
The role offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The University supports hybrid working with approximately 2/3 days required on campus. The role is based on a 35-hour working week.
