**Commercial Accountant**
**Full-time, Permanent
Penrith, CA10 (occasional travel to other depots maybe required)

**Salary**: From £45,000 (negotiable depending upon experience)**

As a result of continued growth, A. W. Jenkinson Transport Ltd is excited to be looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Accountant to join us at our Penrith Head Office on a permanent basis.

The business currently turns over more than £125m and operates from 15 depots strategically positioned across the UK.

**Key duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Developing and maintaining business-wide KPI’s and a suite of reports, explaining key trends to senior management
- Assisting with the analytical review of overheads and identifying efficiency opportunities
- Supporting the Finance Director in supplier contract review/negotiations
- Working with the Finance Director to identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Working with the Training team to analyse telematics data with a view to continuing to improve driver behaviour
- Assisting the contract managers with the preparation of customer KPI packs for key customers
- Ad-hoc reports /analysis as requested

**Person specification**:

- Qualified CIMA, ACA, ACCA or holding significant relevant experience
- Excellent communication and rapport building skills with both finance and non-finance colleagues
- Excellent commercial decision-making skills with the ability to discuss and influence ideas
- A good team player
- A proven ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent IT skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
