**The Role**

As our Graphic Designer, you will be the in-house creative lead for Yorkshire Cancer Research, working closely with the Head of Marketing and the marketing team to produce high quality graphic design that supports all aspects of our charity’s work (internal and external).

The Graphic Designer helps achieve Yorkshire Cancer Research’s strategic aims by;
- Building a strong brand, creating high quality design and artwork that engages our target audience and effectively communicates our Yorkshire Cancer Research brand and delivers our charity’s key strategic aims.
- Creating a strong and consistent brand identity through all our marketing and communications (on and off-line) - from corporate literature and brand collateral to marketing and fundraising campaigns, partnership activity, digital and social assets, events and exhibitions etc.
- Advancing our marketing and communications agenda, playing a key role in the creation of digital and social assets, and going beyond traditional graphic design to help evolve our capability in photographic, digital and video content.
Specifically, you will:

- Be responsible for completing various day-to-day design requirements needed by our charity which will include charity literature, stationery, flyers, leaflets, presentations, adverts, banners, digital banners, social assets, exhibition graphics etc.
- Play a key role in maintaining, evolving and enforcing our charity’s Brand Guidelines, ensuring that our creative work is always of a high standard and consistently builds our brand equity and awareness.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to take project briefs and lead these from initial briefing stage to concept / idea generation through to final creative, taking on feedback from internal / external parties as required whilst championing creative excellence.
- Work with external suppliers, our marketing agency(ies) and internal stakeholders to help deliver key projects on time, to budget and in line with our Brand Guidelines (including ensuring that finished items are the correct colour, font, quality and finish).
- Support the Head of Marketing and our marketing agency(ies) to continually build our brand equity and improve brand awareness. This includes the development of new brand assets for digital and social including, for example, our photography and videography.
- Be the custodian of our brand ‘library’ including our photographic and video outputs and ensure these are made easily accessible to internal users and that assets have the correct photo permissions / licenses for use in the charity’s marketing materials.
