We are seeking an excellent and suitably experienced **Part time Night Porter**for the Place Hotel, on York Place, in Edinburgh

**Who we are**:
The Place Hotel on York Place in Edinburgh has an amazing reputation and status. It is an award winning four-star 47-room boutique townhouse Hotel, in a prominent location close to the city’s theatres, the new St James shopping centre and the end of the tram line. With a purpose-built Conference & Event space with extensive outdoor terrace, new banqueting facilities, wedding and reception, as well as future projects within the City.

Currently we are recruiting for a Night Porter to join us. Whilst experience is desirable, we do not insist on it and offer a full training programme for everyone. We also encourage and support additional personal development whilst with us to help you advance and progress in your career.

Each day is different with a variety of events on the heated terrace on York Place; welcoming Hotel guests at our reception areas to our 4-star hotel rooms; helping our sales and events team with large conference and banqueting; the list goes on

**Who we are looking for**:
You will be highly motivated, focused on getting it right first time, able to demonstrate experience of approach to working with people.
You will be the first point of contact with customers, able to provide great service to reflect our culture and standards.
You will have ability to work cooperatively with others as part of a team, demonstrating commitment to group objectives.
You will have an anti-discriminatory attitude, ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels in a variety of situations.
You will be committed to provide a culture of safety, fairness and inclusiveness; commitment to continuous personal and professional development and willingness to learn and accept new ideas.
