**Job Summary**
The Financial Accountant is to oversee all the accounting functions and ensure appropriate financial support is provided to the business.

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for mapping out the processes and controls for all new pharmacies and other services and will take the lead in implementing these processes to ensure accurate and compliant accounting treatment of all related transactions..

**Responsibilities**
- To ensure that all accounting records are appropriately kept and financial reporting complies with accounting standards and legislation.

The post holder duties include:

- Coordinating and managing the day-to-day accounting operations
- Leading on the production of monthly reporting and financial forecasts
- To provide financial information, advice and support on complex financial issues
- Preparing the annual capital and revenue budget setting supporting both Companies’ business planning cycles
- Provision of information to internal and external auditors and other regulatory bodies and appropriate production of annual accounts
- Ensuring adherence to SFIs and SOs
- Support the business with the financial strategy and decision-making processes managing the costing of new business cases
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of the team

**Qualifications**
- Graduate plus master’s degree or equivalent professional accountancy qualifications or experience.
- CCAB qualified Accountant or part qualified and actively working towards full qualification
- Significant relevant experience
- Line management of staff
- NHS Trust or equivalent large organisation experience
- Commercial experience

Pay: From £53,000.00 per year
