**Finance Business Partner | 12 month Fixed-Term role | £55,000 - £60,000 per annum - depending on experience.**

We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Partnering to support National Grid’s Electricity Transmission business (NGET).

You’ll join a team of Finance Business Partners who work hand in hand with the leaders of National Grid’s Electricity Transmission business, responsible for delivering the investments that are connecting more Green Energy, and ensuring our network remains resilient and reliable now and in the future.

Jointly our team works across the NGET business to ensure leaders understand their financial performance in the context of the RIIO-T2 deal and the commitments we have made to our shareholders. We are accountable for ensuring the business’s plans are ambitious and deliverable. We support the business to find opportunities to embed efficiencies that drive value for shareholders and consumers, and we provide insight and challenge where we see risks to performance. Supported by a Finance controllership team who provide good quality financial data, our team is future facing. As NGET prepares for a new price control, the work we do today will set the foundations for how the business justifies the efficiency of its future costs to Ofgem.

**Key Accountabilities**:
You'll support the team in their decision making and hold them accountable from “plan to performance”, ensuring that financial forecasts are based on stretching but credible assumptions, driving insight from a combination of business and financial performance data to build confidence that performance will be delivered and instigate early discussion and action where performance is at risk. You'll ensure that investment decisions are made with the right financial rigor - so that the accounting and the regulatory impact of spend is understood at the point of sanction, and the business is clear about how the investment will impact their financial targets. Working with your fellow Finance Business Partner colleagues you’ll help to embed a greater financial performance culture within the organisation, assessing today’s processes to identify weaknesses and implementing solutions that balance the needs of finance and business stakeholders.

**About You**:

In this case, you’re a Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with relevant experience of financial reporting, planning, budgeting and forecast ideally from within a large global / matrix style organisation. You’re comfortable balancing support for the business, helping it to focus on what really matters for financial performance, having challenging conversations when you see the need for decision and action to deliver that performance. You’re looking to use your skills in a role that will really make a difference, in a business that plays a key role in enabling the UK’s transition to Net Zero energy. Whilst it’s not essential to have worked in a Regulated industry, you will need to develop a good working knowledge of the RIIO-T2 framework to allow you to provide insight to the business as to the financial impact of their decisions.

**What You'll Get**:
£55,000 - £60,000 per annum - dependent on experience.
