Headquartered in Italy, Leonardo has over 45,000 employees, of which 7,000 are based in the UK.Reporting to the Procurement Programmes Manager - AW159/Lynx, as a Procurement Programmes Specialist you will be responsible for the management and coordination of the activities of Procurement and Supply Chain team (P&SC) to secure the delivery of equipment /services, required for the manufacture, certification and support of specific Yeovil based Customer Aircraft. To be achieved in accordance with Customer Aircraft delivery plan and within budget. - As Procurement Programmes Specialist, your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Leonardo UK Ltd Helicopter teams in acquisition of new prime contracts or amendments in conjunction with other functions pre contract to clarify definition of material requirements and establish a credible and achievable programme, through the proposal, negotiation and post award implementation and aircraft delivery stages.
- Work collaboratively with Procurement Bid team from Bid through to Contract effective date to ensure i) coordination of configuration control of equipment development activities, ii) support to providing materials and equipment to build schedule, ii) ensure budget and target cost plans are fully defined and understood, to enable the management of the Supply Chain element of the contracted programme of work within budget and schedule.
- Work cross functionally within Integrated Programme Team (IPT) to develop an appropriate Integrated Management schedule to underpin Prime contract flow down of requirements and delivery schedule.
- Work collaboratively within IPT to define appropriate Work Breakdown Structures with fully aligned budget, including the definition of any pre contract material requirement.
- Establish with programme lead the necessary earned value measurements to be used to support the customer programme.
- Manage control, distribution and reporting of P&SC budget and spend for programmes managed. Be responsible for managing and explaining regular financial reporting to programme team and senior management team.
- Manage launch of supply chain activities for development and non-development equipment through to completion of first A/C delivery and as necessary any actions in support of trials activity and technical publications delivery.
- Work with Category Management teams to define (for equipment required) appropriate sourcing strategies which support customer programme, in accordance with Leonardo group sourcing processes and procedures.
- Represent P&SC in lead role within IPT’s for programmes allocated. Working with other IPT functional leads and IPT lead to support the effective delivery of the customer programme.
- Maintaining all appropriate and necessary planning tools to effectively manage/report upon launch and delivery of the P&SC scope of work in support of Customer programmes allocated.
- Manage Risks associated with delivery of the P&SC scope of work
