Procurement Programmes Specialist Join Leonardo Helicopters division. You will work closely with key stakeholders to manage new bids, lead negotiations, manage contracts with suppliers, and build supplier strategies. Your impact As a Procurement Programmes Specialist you will manage prime contracts, develop integrated management schedules, define work breakdown structures, convert bid costs to target costs, manage budgets, launch supply chain contracts, develop sourcing strategies, represent P&SC within change management, and coordinate cost evaluation for contract amendments. Job Description Support business in acquisition of prime contracts together with PM, Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Operations, clarifying material requirements to establish a credible programme. Work collaboratively with P&SC Bid IPT lead from bid through to contract effective date to ensure configuration, development programme, build schedule, budget and target cost plans are fully defined. Develop an integrated management schedule that underpins the flow down of prime contract requirements. Define work breakdown structures with aligned budget (RC and NRC) and pre‑contract material requirements. Convert bid costs to target costs reflecting IPT budget and establish earned value measurements. Manage, control, distribute and report on the P&SC budget and monitor achievement of targets for P&SC teams, for NRC and RC scope. Manage launch of supply chain contracts for Red and Green BoM through to completion of all NRC activity and first A/C delivery, and any P&SC actions supporting trials and IETP delivery. Develop appropriate sourcing strategies in line with LGS and LHD Sourcing processes and procedures. Represent P&SC and perform the functional lead role in IPTs for allocated programmes, supporting effective delivery of the customer programme. Maintain Level 3, Level 2 and other planning tools to manage/report on launch and delivery of the P&SC scope of work. Manage risks associated with delivery of the P&SC scope of work. Represent P&SC within change management, ensuring changes are evaluated by the correct function and any potential delays or additional costs are reported. Support and coordinate costing and evaluation of all material requirements for prime contract amendments from proposal through to post‑award implementation. What You’ll Bring Degree/HNC in Business Management or Engineering (or equivalent) and/or MCIPS Corporate qualification or relevant experience within Defence/Aerospace or wider industry. Relevant procurement or commercial experience with examples of performance improvement (cost reduction, schedule adherence, lead time reduction). Negotiation, agreement and management experience for long‑term agreements, design and manufacturing agreements. Management of complex contracts including design and development programmes. Proven ability to influence internally and externally, solving problems with initiative. Advanced team‑working skills and ability to coordinate multi‑functional team activity. Proven experience working in international markets. Willingness to travel alone or as part of a team within the UK and overseas.
