- Own a number of commodity types and act as primary interface for Leonardo Helicopters with Suppliers with regard to business relationship and as LH commercial specialist for your commodities.
- Lead negotiations and manage contracts with suppliers.
- Build supplier/commodity strategies, working in coordination with key stakeholders including Engineering, Programmes, Product Management and Customer Support departments.
- Manage the contractual aspects of new developments/improvement of existing arrangements.
- Manage strategic supplier equipment development programmes in coordination with engineering and programme management teams.
- Define manage and deliver strategies to procure commodities in regional and global markets in support of business needs.
- Support the provision of supplier equipment costs for new customer bids and proposals.
- Control supplier costs in alignment with Programme budgets and achieve departmental cost reduction targets.
- Negotiate appropriate contractual frame works to include Terms and Conditions/pricing and Customer Support requirements.
- Develop and consolidate business relations with key suppliers.
- Manage delivery of design, development and qualification programmes.

- Security Clearance**What we are looking for**:

- Ideally educated to Degree level or have HNC Business studies (or equivalent) and/or MCIPS or equivalent professional qualification and have some relevant experience within the Aerospace or similar Sector. (If able to demonstrate a high level of experience within a Procurement or Commercial role within an Aerospace or similar sector then lower level formal qualifications may be acceptable).
- Proven experience of agreeing terms and conditions, managing contractual compliance issues and delivering performance improvement against core objectives (e.g. cost reduction, schedule adherence, lead time reduction etc).
- Self-motivated to promote and drive project performance.
- Able to make decisions, quickly with limited facts.
- Able to maintain effective working relationships with all project stakeholders.
- Able to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems.
