Accounts Manager

Accounts Manager, up to £50k doe, for established Accountancy practice in Hove, office based, full time permanent role.
Joining this close-knit friendly team, you will be ACA/ACCA with experience managing a portfolio of clients, mainly limited companies and managing a team of 2 trainees and delegating work to them.
The main duties will include:
- Prepare and manage sole trader and partnership accounts and self-assessment tax returns from prime records on Iris software.
- Prepare and manage limited company accounts and corporation tax returns on Iris software from prime records.
- Liaise directly with clients to obtain the necessary information to complete company accounts and tax returns in a timely manner to meet filing and payment deadlines.
- Carry out practice management activities e.g., WIP control, client billing etc.
- Identify ways to develop relationships with clients and deliver added value.
- Achieve team and individual budgets.
- Maintain the highest technical and professional standard.
- Provide additional help and guidance to clients as required.
- Coach, train and develop junior staff.
The Accounts Manager will naturally have strong interpersonal skills and previous supervisory experience, plus experience working in Practice. Ability to multitask, with good knowledge of double entry bookkeeping and tax preparation. Strong knowledge ofIRIS is essential.
The Accounts Manager, Hove, East Sussex is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 9-5.15pm initially office based but after successful probation can offer a hybrid work pattern of 1-2 days working from home. Up to £50k doe, 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays,group personal pension scheme. The office is close to Hove Station and on main bus routes, but please be aware they do not have parking on site.
