Reporting to the Director of Operations, you’ll lead a portfolio of key accounts while managing team workloads, conducting one-to-ones, and supporting the growth of the PPC revenue line.

This hands-on role blends campaign delivery with leadership—overseeing strategy, execution, client meetings, sales pitches, and onboarding. You'll act as the escalation point for issues, drive client satisfaction, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and retention across the department.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Team Leadership & Management**
- Provide daily leadership, support, and guidance to the PPC team, fostering performance, motivation, professional growth, and client Relationship Building.
- Conduct regular one-to-ones, deliver constructive feedback, and support individual development plans for each team member.
- Lead internal planning sessions to allocate resources efficiently and maintain strong campaign delivery across all accounts.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and integration of new PPC team members.
- In addition to leading and mentoring the PPC team, you'll take ownership of a select portfolio of retained clients. These include long-term partnerships where you'll have the opportunity to build strong relationships, deliver measurable value, and drive strategic growth.
- This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll stay close to the work while helping shape the future of our PPC service offering.

**Client Delivery & Retention**
- Step in on key client calls and meetings where senior support is needed, or where accounts are at risk; act as the accountable lead in these situations.
- Oversee campaign delivery and direction across all PPC retainers, ensuring quality, clarity, and consistency.
- Collaborate with Client Services to ensure smooth management of all PPC clients, and with the SEO team to align multi-channel strategies with client goals.
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex delivery challenges or client concerns, resolving issues swiftly and effectively.
- Champion client satisfaction through proactive communication, demonstrable value and results, and ensuring campaigns align with agreed objectives.
- **Internal Brands**: Ensure the account management of the four Internal Brands (TDM, Frogspark, Boom, Evolve) is actively managed and monthly hours are delivered; maintain regular communication with the Internal Marketing Manager.

**Department Growth & Revenue**
- Own the performance of the PPC department against revenue targets and client retention KPIs.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations on forecasting, pipeline planning, and identifying opportunities to expand existing PPC retainers.
- Contribute to pitches and proposal development where PPC expertise is required.
- Work closely with other departments (SEO, Content, Web) to ensure PPC is integrated into wider digital strategies.

**Delivery Quality & Performance Assurance**
- Oversee PPC deliverables to ensure they meet internal quality standards and exceed client expectations.
- Support team members in translating PPC strategy into action, providing clear guidance and direction where needed.
- Drive the consistent adoption of delivery frameworks, templates, and tools across the PPC team.
- Identify and address inefficiencies in campaign processes to boost team productivity and overall effectiveness.

**Reporting & Commercial Awareness**
- Maintain oversight of client performance and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights aligned with KPIs.
- Monitor revenue across PPC accounts, highlighting risks and opportunities to the Director of Operations.
- Provide regular updates on team performance, capacity, and training needs to inform senior leadership decisions.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- 5+ years of hands-on PPC experience in an agency environment, with demonstrable ability to lead or mentor others.
- Comprehensive understanding of paid search, display, and social advertising, including campaign setup, optimisation, and reporting.
- Proven experience managing client relationships, attending meetings, and resolving performance or delivery issues.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to contribute to departmental growth, forecasting, and revenue conversations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, collaborative, and people-focused approach.
- Confident and competent in using core PPC platforms and tools such as Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta/Facebook Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, Data Studio (Looker Studio)
- Highly organised, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple projects and people simultaneously.
