Bolton Lads & Girls Club (BLGC) is an innovative, dynamic and progressive children and young people's charity based in Bolton and we are looking to recruit a Facilities and Safety Manager to join the team.

**What will I be responsible for?**

Reporting to the CEO, the Facilities and Safety Manager plays a crucial role at BLGC as they keep our members, staff, and volunteers safe by effectively and efficiently managing and maintaining our flagship Town Centre Youth Hub and our satellite sites acrossthe borough.

You will ensure the Charity is compliant with all health and safety regulations including building, equipment, services, and related contracts, as well as carrying out general maintenance. In addition, the role will ensure all our buildings are clean andfit for purpose, to the highest of standards, and that we provide a nutritious and well-balanced catering offer. Other duties include:

- Setting and managing the Facilities budgets across sites
- Implementing and managing a planned and reactive maintenance strategy
- Health & Safety, including Designated Fire Officer and Health & Safety Officer
- Premises Security
- Vehicle and Asset Management
- Leadership, people management and teamwork

As our Facilities and Safety Manager, you will have proven experience of managing similar types of buildings, e.g. schools, college/university, sports or leisure centres or other large, multi-use/function buildings. You will also possess:

- Experience of line managing staff and contractors
- Experience of producing Risk Assessments
- Experience of establishing and managing PPMs
- Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation within a FM capacity
- Working knowledge of fire safety regulations and COSHH
- Working knowledge of Building Management Systems
