You will be part of the PE leadership across the school, taking responsibility for half of the lessons planned and taught, and providing development for teachers in delivering their own lessons. This will be a flexible role which could be working with all children across the academy, from Early Years to Key Stage 2. The role also includes leading provision and enrichment during break and lunchtimes.

The second part of this role will be in class support. We would like you to support with learning and some interventions for part of your time in school. As the school grows this will lessen and you will be teaching more PE than in class support and interventions.

**What**we’re** looking for**:
You could be a sports coach outside a school setting, have studied PE at university or wishing to train as a PE teacher. You could be a qualified sports coach/teacher, and wish to make your mark on your own setting, establishing a curriculum and provision from scratch. For us, the most important thing you will bring is your passion for your sports and your ability to coach and teach young children in PE; the qualifications associated with this can be gained on the job as with the experience, but the ability to communicate effectively with young children and teach PE is of paramount importance.
- The motivation and passion to achieve the very best for the children within PE and sports
- A good understanding or awareness of the Early Years Foundation Stage and/or a good understanding of the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curriculum for PE
- A good understanding of the range of additional needs that pupils can have and how best to support them within PE and sports
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team
- The ability to work on initiative
- A ‘can-do’ approach to all aspects of academy life
- A willingness to undertake professional development and grow their skills
- Excellent communication skills and a good sense of humour
