British Gymnastics has the following permanent full-time post: Quality & Standards Manager 37 hours per week Salary £37,299 per annum 39 days annual leave (including Bank Holiday and Company days) + 2 wellbeing days a year + weekly exercise and wellbeing hours This is a dual based role working from Lilleshall National Sports Centre, nr Newport, Shropshire (2 days a week) and from home Role Summary: The overall purpose of this role is to lead the development, implementation and ongoing administration of systems and processes that drive the quality development of British Gymnastics' Tutor/Assessor/IQA workforce and the quality assurance of learning and development provision across British Gymnastics. The role is designed to help ensure high quality learner interactions with British Gymnastics' learning and development provision that align to national standards and meet UK workforce governance policy. * Please refer to the Role Profile for Full details * Main Areas of Responsibility: 1. Leads the quality development and improvement of the gymnastics Tutor/Assessor/IQA workforce Typical Activities: Lead the recruitment, onboarding and ongoing development of the Tutor/Assessor/IQA workforce Lead the development, implementation and monitoring of a Tutor/Assessor/IQA workforce license Gather, interpret and use monitoring and evaluation data and insight to inform recommendations for workforce development activities 2. Lead the quality assurance of British Gymnastics learning and development products and services Typical Activities Lead the development, implementation and delivery of a right touch internal quality assurance strategy that is fit for purpose for the Gymnastics environment and in line with associated national standards and workforce governance policies and procedures Develop systems and processes to receive, check and confirm evidence of CPD aligned to workforce governance requirements and internal/external license/reward and recognition requirements Take responsibility for the organisational compliance and alignment to partnership agreements with, for example, an external quality assurance partner Lead the management of complaints and appeals processes related to learner experiences 3. Leadership and management of people, process and projects Typical Activities: Line management responsibility for a team responsible for the implementation of quality assurance and improvement systems and processes. the design of artwork and creation of digital content Working with team to co-create, agree, and monitor progress against personal and professional development objectives and priority deliverable Role requirements 1. Knowledge, Skills and Expertise This role requires the holder to possess: People and project leadership and management. In-depth knowledge of quality assurance, standards implementation and development Deep understanding of British Gymnastics coaching, tutoring, assessing and internal quality assurance credentials and mechanisms Understanding analytics; for collating and interpreting data, using insight to support actions, plans and reports Budgeting and financial planning/management. Providing expertise into the quality assurance and development of standards through use of insight, metrics and data to support decision-making operationally and strategically 2. People For the successful delivery of projects, this role requires the holder to share knowledge with colleagues, budget holders and project teams. Additionally, to have formal line management responsibility of staff and informal support responsibility for other colleagues, volunteers and partners who are involved in the development and delivery of the projects. To be effective the role holder requires a sense of teamwork, as well as the ability to successfully influence and negotiate with colleagues across the business to aid the achievement of strategic priorities. 3. Shaping Direction This role requires the holder to plan and monitor their own work programme and support the programming of others', including: Testing, monitoring and analysing the impact of course/content development Planning and monitoring of the wider workforce/team development needs and opportunities for education, training and development to drive quality, consistency and standards Planning and monitoring the QA strategy implementation, plans, processes and outcomes aligned to data and insight gained from learner evaluations and feedback to inform learning design improvements To be effective in the role the holder will need a good understanding of British Gymnastics learning and development provision, current British Gymnastics resources and the wider agenda for teaching, learning and eLearning/digital learning. 4. Developing Solutions This role requires the holder to work with the Head of Learning Design and Quality Improvement to analyse and resolve a number of problems/issues, including: Providing expertise into the quality assurance and development of standards through use of insight, metrics and data to support decision-making operationally and strategically Holding challenging conversations, meetings and chairing groups to review and improve standards of learning and development provision Develop robust systems and processes led by data and insight to improve Tutor, Assessor and QA operations and impact 5. Decision Making This role requires the holder to make decisions and recommendations in relation to own workload and where necessary direct that of others; to contribute to department project plans and activities; to contribute to decisions regarding course development and training materials and to support the broader cultural extended leadership and management of the department. 6. Communicating This role requires the holder to be a key point of contact for designated Technical Committees/Subject Matter Experts; to demonstrate effective customer service and communication skills in order to build/maintain positive relationships with colleagues and partners; and promote/deliver a proactive resource and programme service appropriate to the current and future needs of the sport. The role holder must work in partnership with internal and external colleagues to ensure British Gymnastics strive to be world-leading in this area of the business.
