Accounts Payable Senior

Reporting to the Head of Accounts Payable, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Senior to provide support to our Finance department and two Accounts Payable Assistants. Accounts Payable Senior responsibilities include but are not limited to Bank Reconciliation, Chasing Debt and processing supplier invoices accurately, assisting with the expenses system and Accounts Receivable function and supporting other departments (such as Procurement) with finance queries, assisting with bank payments and providing remittance advice. To succeed in the role you will need exceptional organisational skills and an excellent eye for detail. It will be beneficial to have a relevant work experience in a fast-paced Finance department. Ultimately, you will ensure our Finance processes run smoothly, contribute to a healthy and happy work environment and are consistently growing and improving.

**Here’s what you’d be doing**:

- Bank Reconciliation on the weekly bases,
- Chasing Debt,
- Supplier Invoice Validation,
- Employee Expenses Management,
- Tracker updates,
- Bank Payment Set up,
- Payment Allocations in the accounting system
- Supervising team of two Accounst Payable Assistants
- Complete financial administration (e.g. direct debit mandate forms for signature)
- Assist Financial Controller with ad hoc requests Ensure high levels of adherence to Finance policies and processes
- Raising sales invoices when required
- Help with stock purchase orders to invoice matching and raising queries when needed
- Implement great systems that make life easy for each department and promote Zapp’s leadership principles
- Address suppliers’ queries (e.g. on payment terms or unpaid invoices)
- Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience in a fast paced Finance or Accounts Payable function
- Exceptionally organised and attentive to detail
- Ability to accurately record information
- Excellent track record of numerical/financial ability (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
- A passion for making a difference within the company: not just being a cog in a wheel
- Excellent analytical and decision-making abilities
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Great communication, relationship building and collaboration skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable in a highly ambiguous environment, able to take responsibility from day one and work independently by following processes and own directions
- Proficiency in Excel
