**Senior Support Worker - Supportive Accommodation**
We are the Cambian Group, the largest independent provider of care and education for children and young people.
Cambian employees are friendly, supportive and all focused on achieving the best outcomes for everyone involved with our brand.
The world can be a difficult place for young people leaving the care system or their family home, they’ve had wraparound love, care and resources and often suddenly find themselves without company and having to maintain their own home. Our Supported Accommodation provides a stepping stone towards independence, rather than a cliff-edge of care. Each young person will lead their journey, creating care plans in conjunction with our support which focus on independent living skills, both practical and emotional, and giving them every opportunity to thrive as young adults.
As a **Senior Support Worker,** you will be involved in all aspects of their everyday lives and the positive impact you will have is immeasurable.
In addition to a **£1000 Refer a Friend Scheme ** - we offer:
- Rate of Pay: up to £13.40 - £14.22 per hour dependent on experience/qualifications
- Completely free on-shift meals and parking
- Training and Development Plans to meet your individual needs including NVQs and Career progression opportunities
- 28 Days Holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays and rising with service
- Paid Sickness Leave
- Casual Dress Code
- Company Pension
- Simply Health (Linked to Service)
- Days out and Activity days off site
**We have our very own Management Development Programme to take those interested from Support Worker to Registered Manager and beyond**
Hours: 2 on 4 off with sleep-ins included.
Of-course - no day is the same here at the Cambian Group, however here is what a day in the life of one of our **Senior Support Workers** could look like:
- Leading shifts and deputising for the Service Manager where required
- Ensuring that you are up to date with all mandatory learning and development
- Communicating with the on-site team and raising awareness with regards to individual care plans and their implementation
- Maintaining accurate written records in logs, continuation sheets and files both to record information and enable regular monitoring and evaluation to take place
- Contributing to team and staff meetings to facilitate good communication and staff development
- Providing support and care to the young people within our services
- Encouraging our young people in their preparation to re-enter education or to engage in their current schooling/college
- Traveling with our young people to and from School or College
- Supporting our young people to build independence skills including, budgeting, preparing food at meal times and maintaining the home (cleaning, laundry etc.) throughout the day
- This is not an exhaustive list and of course a full job specification is available.
Within this service, we support young people of mixed age and gender and continually have incredible successes. The young people we support are achieving great marks and participating in a number of activities.
You will join a strong, supportive team in helping young people with complex needs. It’s challenging yet highly rewarding work where the little things you do every day will have life-changing results. Whether helping someone to achieve their personal potential or growing our reputation as provider of the best quality behavioural health services in the UK.
