AP Care Homes Limited are looking to recruit to their team of Waking Night Support Workers for our home in Styal, Cheshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a new and growing company that offers full training and management progression.
We provide 24/7 residential services to the UK's most vulnerable children and young people and believe a child's future should never be defined by their past. Every child has the right to a fulfilling life, to realise their potential and to have a positive future.
The children and young people we care for may have experienced trauma that can lead them to display challenging behaviours in an effort to communicate with those around them. They require care from a reliable, committed, passionate and skilled staff team. This will support them to develop trusting relationships which provide the time and space to explore their past experiences, behaviours and current situation.
As a Waking Night Residential Support Worker your role will be to help the children and young people settle in the evening, supporting their night time routines as well as getting them up and ready for the day in the morning, there will also be light household duties.

- Shift work - Waking nights, weekdays and weekends.
The key duties of the role are:
- To maintain a high quality of care and support which meets the physical, emotional, intellectual, social and cultural needs of children and young people within the care of the home.
- To provide a caring, supportive, and nurturing environment in which children/young people can feel safe and secure and free from harm. Establishing positive, warm and rewarding relationships with the children/young people.
