**The Job Role Details**:
Due to the continued growth of Greenwood Group Ltd, we are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Department. Working alongside a small Finance Team to achieve their reporting and analysis deadlines. This is a varied role, giving a great opportunity for exposure to many areas of finance and purchasing disciplines.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Daily bank reconciliation of all expense accounts and investigate anything that cannot be reconciled
- Creation of BACs payment runs to be approved by manager each week
- Processing credit card payments
- Control of Petty Cash
- Petty Cash and Credit Card Reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end closing activities
- Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Reconciliation of intercompany accounts
- Management of Fixed Asset Register
- Accruals and Prepayments
- Processing and posting monthly journals
- Producing weekly and monthly financial reporting and analysis
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate coding and processing of invoices
- Overseeing accounts payable function and assisting/training Accounts Admin where needed
- Reconcile supplier statements monthly and resolve any discrepancies.
- Assisting with external audit
**Requirements**:
- 3 years proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in using accounting software such as Sage 50 (preferred, not essential)
- IT literate with previous Microsoft Office experience (essential)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
AAT level 3 or equivalent
In person office based role - remote location, driving required
Hours Monday to Friday, 40 per week
Salary from £29,000 to £33,000 per annum, depending on experience
Company bonus scheme available upon completion of probation
28 days of holiday, inclusive of bank holidays
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £29,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
