Working at Arundel Town Council offers a challenging and varied workload which requires flexibility to handle administration and communication tasks, dealing with members of the general public a well as public bodies and other councils. Working in a smallfriendly team in the historic Arundel Town Hall providing a wide range of services for the local community.
If you have strong administrative skills, are a good communicator and enjoy a busy but varied role this part time role may be just the role for you.
Key responsibilities:
- To write and edit press releases/articles for local newspapers and publications;
- To assist the Town Clerk in the day to day running of the Council and to deputise for the Town Clerk at meetings she is unable to attend;
- To take accurate minutes at meetings and ensure all policies and schedules are updated accordingly;
- Design visual communications such as banners, flyers and posters for both online and print formats;
- Manage the Mayor’s diary, in particular dealing with invitations for events;
- Continually updating the Council’s website and social media accounts;
- Deal with enquiries from the general public;
- Support Council committees, working groups and community events;
