**Trading Assistant Responsibilities**:

- Setting up and maintenance of new product files
- Compiling promotional activity plan and implementing the offers
- Supporting the trading team in delivering their objectives
- Administration of supplier activity in monthly product brochures.
- Invoicing of supplier revenue in accordance with schedules
- Handling of general queries and administrative duties
- Maintaining latest cost price files and up to date product lists

**Trading Assistant Requirements**:

- Great first role for anyone with ambitions to become a buyer or who enjoys dealing with products
- A high level of numeracy and literacy is essential
- Working knowledge of Microsoft programs essential
- Educated to an A Level standard or equivalent is desirable
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential
- Reliably follows instructions and procedures and keeps orderly records
- Keen and enthusiastic approach to working both in a team and independently
- Ability to produce accurate work within agreed timescales
- Excellent communication skills and the capacity to build good working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers
- Strong organisational and planning skills with an attention to detail
- Positive attitude and flexibility in covering other roles in the department
- Shows a commitment to ongoing personal development and training, always striving to improve
- Demonstrates integrity, a strong work ethic and upholds the company values and principles

**Contract Type**: Permanent
**Hours**: Full or Part Time, up to 40 hours per week. Mon-Fri 9am-5pm.
**Salary**: circa £20,000-£22,000 per annum depending on experience
