This is an exciting time to join the Family Support Team at Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland as we develop and expand services in response to the demand from those affected by spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus.
SBH Scotland is looking for experienced, reliable Children and Young People’s Workers to assist our children and young people in a variety of settings. Reporting to the East and West Team Leads, our Children and Young People’s Workers may be providing 1 to 1 support or helping to run an engaging activity or social group.
As a Children and Young People’s Worker you will be required to work out with normal office hours depending on the activity or event. The postholder will be required to work from home and to attend group work or other events organised from time to time at the Dan Young Building, Dullatur and at other event venues across the central belt (Glasgow, Edinburgh, Fife).
We can’t wait to hear from you if you are a great communicator, are resourceful, enthusiastic and have a ‘can do’ approach to work. You’ll also need a relevant qualification to a minimum of SVQ3/4 or relevant knowledge/experience and have experience of working with children & young people with additional needs.
